When taking off, advance throttle slowly and be ready for a strong pull to the left due to prop torque.

For this aircraft, turn SPERRY MK III ON and advance sensitivities one at a time until autopilot "locks in". A setting of less than 2 should be sufficient. Increased sensitivity in pitch will cause the airplane to porpoise.
